This week's student athlete of the week is the entire Seneca Valley Girls soccer team who earned the school's first-ever WPIAL Girls Soccer Championship with a 2-0 win over Upper St. Clair at Elzabeth Forward. The lady Raiders got a measure of revenge on USC as the Panthers had knocked Seneca Valley out of the first round of the playoffs in 2005. The win was also big for coach Dave Sylvester, whose team had never advanced beyond the first round of the WPIAL Playoffs...until now. The 9th ranked Raiders brought home the gold to Butler County. Congratulations Seneca Valley Lady Raiders!
