Jordan Shoop
of Knoch High School

shoop

Late in December 2005, the senior leader of this year's Knoch basketball team, Jordan Shoop, became only the 4th player in Knoch High School history to surpass the 1,000 career point mark. Shoop's three-pointer at the 4:23 mark of the second quarter against Hampton just before Chirstmas set his total at 1,001 points. That feat occurred just one week after his father and Knoch's head basketball Coach, Les Shoop, earned his 500th career victory.
As of January4, Jordan had moved into third place on the Knight's scoring list with 1,090 points, surpassing Fred Rothen's 1,078. Jordan now sets his sites on his older brother Josh's record of 1,203.
Jordan is the Knight's leading scorer, averaging just over 18 points per game. He also set a career high for a single game with 38 points against Hampton earlier this season. If Shoop plays in just 8 more games this season, he will become the Knight's Iron Man, having played more varsity basketball games than anyone in school history. He is currently 2nd on that list.
Jordan is currently being recruited to play football in college. He was a three year starter for the Knights--as a wide receiver and quarterback and safety. He was named All-Conference as a defensive back and punter. Congratulations Jordan!
