Courtney is the pitcher for the Seneca Valley Lady Raiders softball team. She pitched a complete game with six strikeouts in Seneca Valley's 6-3 win over Hampton. Grootegoed also went 3-3 at the plate, hitting a home run and two singles. In a 10-0 win over Butler, Courtney hit another home run and struck out five batters in four innings on the mound.
