This week's student athlete of the week is Knoch High School basketball player Rob Briggs. The 6'5" junior forward and team co-captain was named the MVP of the Freeport Christmas Tournament. Briggs scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half in Knoch's 64-61 win over Leechburg, collecting 11 rebounds along the way. In the championship game against freeport, Briggs scored another 26 points and 14 rebounds in the Knights' 63-55 victory. Rob is currently averaging 19.8 points per game, and has tied his brother Andy--a 2000 graduate--for 32nd on Knoch's All-Time Scoring List with 592 career points. Congratulations Rob!
