Bucs blow 5-run lead to lose Print E-mail
Written by WISR News

Paul Maholm did his best Tom Gorzelanny impersonation Thursday, as the Pirates built a five-run lead against the New York Mets, only to lose 9-8 in 10-innings.  Maholm allowed 11-hits and six runs in less than five innings as the Pirates starter. On a bright note:  newly added Pirate outfielder Garrett Jones had his first hits as a Bucco. Jones had a Home run, triple and double Thursday afternoon.  Pirates are in Florida to face the Marlins tonight. Air time is 5:45pm on WISR 680am
