Two Ohio women were injured after their rig collided in Lawrence County yesterday during the noon hour. According to New Castle-based State Police, 36-year-old Rachel Elrod of Cleveland was traveling westbound on Route 317 near Mohawk School Road in North Beaver Township. She lost control of the rig as she attempted to negotiate a curve, causing the rig to leave the roadway and careen into a field, then turn onto its right side and skid for a distance of about 150 feet. Elrod sustained minor injuries. Her passenger, 35-year-old Audre Rivera, also of the Cleveland area, was not wearing her seatbelt. She sustained head trauma as well as arm and leg injuries. Both were taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown for treatment. New @ 12:00AM...KAH
