Mike Slupe is the new Sheriff in town. The Republican candidate easily defeated Roland Livermore in Tuesday's general election by garnering nearly 70% of the vote. The Sheriff's race was the most watched county-wide race, as all of the other county row-offices were uncontested. Voter turnout in Butler County looks to be somewhere just over 25%.
