A West Sunbury man was sentenced Thursday morning for leading police on a chase during the Fourth of July last year. According to Butler city police, 33-year-old Jeremy Grove was seen tailgating a vehicle in the zero block of Brugh Avenue. Police then initiated a traffic stop, but Grove responded by fleeing, and was finally apprehended on Route 422 East. He had to be subdued with pepper spray before police were able to take him into custody. Grove, who has two priors for DUI within the last ten years, was sentenced to one to five years in jail, followed by three years' probation and 60 hours of community service to be served within 18 months. He'll be work release and community service eligible.
