Not even the National Weather Service could have predicted the gravity of the snowfall that hit southwestern Pennsylvania from Friday night into Saturday morning. The initial forecasts predicted about a foot of snow, but some areas reported more than double that amount. It's being called the worst snowstorm to have hit this area in 63 years. An estimated 22 inches of snow fell throughout Butler County. The statewide State of Emergency is expected to remain in effect for the week. And the snow is not over yet. AccuWeather of State College is calling for another major snowstorm to hit the northeast, with the heaviest snow hitting the northeastern portion of Pennsylvania, with possibly a foot of snow on Tuesday. Here in southwestern Pennsylvania, we'll see 1-3 inches during the day on Tuesday, and another 2 to 4 inches that evening.
